Our general policy is to try and avoid charging students for classes they do not receive, however we have to balance that with the teachers’ expectation to be paid for their time. So we do require 24 hour cancellation. However, we will provide a free make-up class if the cancellation is prior to commencement of class, though the make-up class must be at the teacher’s convenience. If class is missed and no notice is given until after class, and a teacher has to wait the hour for the student, the student will be charged. The sole exception to this is technological problems, i.e., the Internet is down or the computer is malfunctioning and the student is unable to reach the teacher or Ms. Lima prior to class. Technological issues are rare, but a reality of online language learning. Our student code of conduct further explains our cancellation policy.
